"We came across Nucoco’s innovative idea through their Twitter campaign and jumped at the chance to support" Laura Robertson, Marketing Executive, IQA Group

IQA 'adopts' local business

6 June 2012

IQA Group has purchased its very own chocolate brick in support of local Glasgow company, Nucoco Chocolate & Cake. Nucoco is a new contemporary chocolate and cake company, set up by Eveleen Greer and Jackie Wynne, making unique creations from luxury Belgian chocolate bars to amazing, bespoke wedding cakes, all with an accent on style, fun and creativity.

Leading utility contracting company IQA spotted Nucoco’s innovative investment model via their social media campaign. Crowdfunding is an investment opportunity whereby members of the public and local businesses are invited to become Founding Members, becoming an important part of the company and its success. By purchasing bespoke chocolate bricks, Founding Members adopt a piece of Nucoco, helping to build the company ‘brick by brick’.

Nucoco is raising funds for their branding and packaging, to further develop the product range and begin their first steps to Fair Trade certification. Once they have reached their fund target, all the chocolate bricks purchased will be used to build a chocolate wall ‘Edible Installation’ – a real structure that will grow with everyone’s support.

Laura Robertson, Marketing Executive for IQA said “We came across Nucoco’s innovative idea through their Twitter campaign and jumped at the chance to support. IQA is keen to support other young, innovative local companies and is delighted to adopt this emerging Scottish company."

IQA Group has seen rapid growth over the last few years and this has continued as a result of our commitment to our values: Quality, Customer Satisfaction, Continuous Improvement, Integrity and People. We welcome the opportunity to support other local businesses looking to do the same.”
