IQA continues to show support for the STAR Project in Paisley. Following on from the Christmas hamper donations, staff members from both IQA and our renewable company, Innovo Energy, are setting out to help the project even further.
On 11th of February, volunteers from both companies are taking time out to help refurbish the group room at the STAR Project premises on Wallace Street, Paisley. Organised by IQA’s Mary Boyd and Innovo Energy’s David Rowan, work will include plastering, painting and even fitting a new carpet.
The STAR Project serves and supports adults, young people and families through a diverse programme of services and activities, creating a responsive, comprehensive and affirmative project bringing together people from across the community.
Around 350 adults and children from the North End of Paisley benefit each year becoming less isolated, growing in self-esteem, better connected in informal friendships and developing competencies to better cope with the everyday challenges they face in life.
We are still looking for volunteers to help with the makeover so, if you are interested in helping out for the day, just get in touch. We look forward to seeing you there...
