David Gowans, Managing Director
A qualified Electrician and trained as a Quantity Surveyor, David leads the Company and continues to drive the business forward. He joined IQA in March 2005 and built the Electrical business from creation to over 60 staff and developed the overall company by adding best practices.

Chris Fergus, Operations Director
An experienced Contracts Engineer with major Electrical & Utility companies in the past, Chris heads the Utilities business, the largest part of the IQA Group. His customer focus and relationship with the workforce has been the key to success the Company has enjoyed in recent years.

David McKinlay, Electrical Compliance & Training Manager
A Director who assisted in the development of the Utilities business, David now manages the training and development of operational staff ensuring compliance with the stringent processes that need to be followed. From the in house facility, David provides valuable training to our resources including the many Apprentices and Trainees that IQA invest in.

Brian Ward, Electrical Operations Manager
Joined IQA as an electrician back in 2005 and by February 2007 was promoted to position of Electrical Supervisor where he took over the running of the Multi Storey Flats projects and assisted the growth of the team. The following June, Brian took on his current role as Operations Engineer for all operations in the West of Scotland. He now manages the day to day running of the business in this area and reports to our operations director.

Brian Silvester, Commercial Manager
Brian joined IQA in early 2010 to focus on all commercial activities within the company. His role encompasses job costing and forecasting, estimating, procurement and looking after legal matters. Brian works closely with our finance department as well as having a hand in operations within the company. Having worked as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, Brian brings stability to the company that will help us improve on cost efficiencies on all projects across our four business units.

Kenny Humes, Electrical Operations Engineer - East
Kenny joined IQA to establish the company profile in the East of Scotland. Reporting to the operations director, Kenny manages the day to day running of the business in this area. The majority of work carried out in this area is earthing upgrades, new build sites and installing mains isolator switches on the Scottish Power network.

Chris Niven, Electrical Operations Engineer - Contracting
Chris Niven is Electrical Operations Engineer and responsible for the management of all electrical contracting activities. His role is to ensure the effective management of our resources throughout all aspects of the project life cycle ensuring that we deliver contracts on time, on budget and to a high standard, achieving customer satisfaction every time. Aside from assisting in the development of new business opportunities, his role involves identifying the ever changing needs of our customers ensuring IQA continues to offer value for money and excellent service.

John Stewart, Accountant
A Member of the Institute of Financial Accountants John worked for a USA based International Company for 15 years before moving to work in General Practice in 1995 where he has been providing external expertise and advice to the business since its inception in 2002 and is now taking a more hands on role overseeing the finance function and assisting the Directors and Management in the ongoing development of the business.

Karen Reid, Financial Controller
Karen's role in the company is to assist in all financial matters and ensure invoices are paid. She works closely with our accountant and commercial manager to ensure all company finances are in order. Having worked at IQA through our continued growth over the years Karen has developed strong relationships with our customers in finance related matters.

Ken Brown, HSEQ Advisor
Ken joined IQA midway through 2010 to advise on all Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality issues within the company. His wealth of experience and knowledge is of great benefit to all of our staff and clients. A major part of Ken's role is to carry our quality audits across the company to ensure all of our staff are performing as well as possible.

Ashley Richardson, HR Advisor
Having joined the Company in 2006 on a one year University placement, Ashley has now progressed within the Company to take on the role of HR Advisor. Her role is to control and administer all Human Resource matters within the Company and advise management on existing and new legislation and includes overseeing all recruitment and selection and advising on the interpretation and implementation of the company HR policies and procedures. Ashley is also a CIPD associate.

Allan Feeney, IT and Marketing Coordinator
Allan joined as a graduate to coordinate our isolator switch installation programme throughout Scotland. Having spent a year overseeing this and developing procedures to ensure the smooth running of this project he now oversees IT within the company as well as coordinating marketing activities for the whole of the IQA Group.
