Queen's Awards

IQA receive Royal Recognition

IQA has been honoured with a Queen’s Award 2022 for Enterprise in the category of International Trade.

The award, which is valid for the next five years, is in recognition of demonstrating outstanding short term growth in international exports. The Queen’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious business awards in the UK, recognising and celebrating business achievements and excellence across Britain.

The company’s international work started in 2018, in Angola, on the repowering and expansion of the Viana 400/220/60 kV substation and the Gabela 220/60 kV substation. In addition to IQA procuring and exporting UK materials and plant, the UK based team provide a full turnkey solution for international infrastructure projects, including specialist project management and engineering expertise, resulting in the successful, upgrading, energising and electrifying of the international power networks.

Pablo Cardell, Managing Director IQA Operations Group, commented ’We are especially proud and delighted to receive the Queens Award for our success in short term growth for our International trade and projects.

IQA have been successfully delivering utility, electrical and telecom projects across the UK for almost two decades now, however IQA have only been trading on an International platform for a short period of time, so to be recognised for this is an amazing achievement. I am very proud of all of our team be they directly or indirectly involved with this award. This is for all of IQA: colleagues, partners, suppliers and stakeholders, for their continued support and commitment over what has been a challenging period globally. Our success would not have been possible without a strong team and we are very honoured to be receiving a Queens Award.’

IQA is one of 225 organisations nationally to be recognised with a prestigious Queen’s Award for Enterprise.
