Services distribution currently undertakes the replacement of cableheads. Our teams of jointers and labourers work in collaboration to replace old and iron clad cableheads, which can be done using two different techniques – live, by an authorised cable jointer, or cut outside, whereby the cable is excavated by the labour team prior to being cut and changed safely by the jointing team.

When replacing a cablehead, IQA will also look at the existing supply to decide whether any other work is required.
